Please review this .XLS Document to insure that your team has completed the process.

If your Travel Team has not completed registration, please contact your coach or team manager and advise them that Travel Registration will close on 8/22/2008.

If you know of a team that intends to play in the League and has not completed registration, please contact them and point them to this LCAHL Website so they can complete the Registration Process.

The Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL) has opened Registration for the 2008-2009 Season for all Travel Teams beginning August 11, 2008 through August 17, 2008.

Late Travel Team Resistration is August 18, 2008 through August 22, 2008. A Late Fee may be assessed for Late Registration.

The Registration Fee will remain the same as last year at $150 per team payable at the time of registration via debit card or PayPal or payable up to the Scheduling Meeting via personal or Association check.

Travel Teams Divisional Alignment Meetings will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008. This meeting is optional. Information regarding the time and venue of this meeting is TBA.

The LCAHL Scheduling Meetings will be held Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Laurel Manor in Livonia, Michigan. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all teams. Details, including time slots, will be announced when the information is finalized. Please reserve Sunday, September 28, 2008 on your Team Calendar as all teams are required to have a representative at this very important meeting!

Final Division Alignments are expected to be posted Thursday, September 11, 2008 and Pointstreak will be available to accept game information the following Monday, September 15, 2008. All teams are expected to complete their scheduling and enter game data into Pointstreak before the Scheduling Meeting.

The process of aligning divisions for the travel portion of our league will take place from the end of registration until final divisions are posted on September 11, 2008. The process will include a Division Alignment Meeting to be held Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Joe Louis Arena (divisions and time slots to be announced). This meeting is optional, but all teams are welcome to attend this information gathering meeting to help align the divisions.

All travel age groups from Squirts up (Mites will be aligned by geography only) will be aligned into either two or three competitive tiers (based on the total number of teams). The tiers will then be broken into divisions along mainly geographic lines.

During the Travel Division Registration Process all teams will be asked to “apply” for a Competitive Tier (Yzerman – the first tier, Howe – the middle tier or Lidstrom – the lowest tier). The league will use the team input along with other data from prior year’s results and questions answered during registration to align the divisions competitively.

Only teams in the LCAHL last year are eligible to apply for inclusion in the Yzerman Divisions. The prior year requirement of returning 50% + 1 of your players from the prior year’s roster will be used as an evaluation criteria but will not preclude a team from applying for the Yzerman Divisions.

The Operating Rules are currently under revision and will be posted prior to the start of the new season. One section that has been added and already approved by the League is League Boundaries.

For the 2008-2009 Season, the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL) has instituted League Boundaries.

The League Boundaries for the 2008-2009 Season will be defined as Toledo (southern boundary), Port Huron (east), Bay City (north) and Grand Rapids (west). When registering your team for the 2008-2009 Season, if your home arena is within these boundaries your application to the league is automatically approved provided you meet all other league eligibility requirements as defined by our Operating Rules.

If your home arena is outside of the boundaries, you have two options:

1. Contract ice within the league boundaries to host your home games and you will be considered in compliance with the league boundaries OR
2. Apply to LCAHL for an exemption.

Exemptions will be considered individually based on the following criteria: the number of teams your Association is placing into LCAHL in 2008-09, your individual team's history with the LCAHL, the geographic effect on your competitive division and the best interests of the LCAHL as a whole.

It is recommended that Travel Team Managers discuss the various response options with the Head Coach of their teams prior to Submitting/Finalizing the Travel Team Registration, since a major part of the registration process will be to select the Level of Competition that is appropriate for the team.
